The meeting will be held at the Clarion Oslo Airport Hotel, Gardermoen Airport. By choosing this central venue we hope to attract a large number of scientists and technicians. Possibilities for day registration will be given. There is easy access from the city centre using the Airport Express Train (19 minutes).
Our aim is to provide an interface for discussion and to encourage future cooperation.

Where is Gardermoen?
The meeting will be held at the Clarion Oslo Airport Hotel, which is located at Oslo's main airport, Gardermoen, situated approximately 50 km North-East of Oslo city centre just off the E6 motorway. The hotel is located approximately 3 km from the airport terminal building. Frequent express trains link the airport with the city of Oslo, 19 minutes away.
Please note:
Make sure that you are booked to Gardermoen airport, NOT to Torp airport. Torp is a much smaller airport South of Oslo, approximately three hour's drive from the Symposium hotel!
The old airport at Fornebu (South-West of Oslo), which many of you may have used when travelling to Oslo previously, is now closed!
Oslo city centre, with all its facilities for leisure activities, eating out and sightseeing, is within easy reach, either by the Airport Express Train, which takes 19 minutes, or by the airport buses which take 40 minutes. Click on these links for more details of transport to and from Oslo and for more general tourist information.
We believe that we have found a central venue with easy access, providing modern facilities and excellent service in a comfortable atmosphere.
Here you can see an overall view of the airport (with the hotel to the extreme left), an exterior view, an overall view of the hotel and plan of the facilities. The Trandumsal and Sessvoll auditorium are featured here.
How do l get from the terminal building to the hotel?
The Clarion Oslo Airport Hotel is approximately 5 minutes' drive from the terminal building. Taxis are relatively expensive because of airport tax and you should allow approx. NOK 150 each way. There is a shuttle bus between the terminal and the hotel that costs NOK 45 each way. The buses leave every 15 minutes in the morning and afternoon and every 30 minutes in the middle of the day and evening. The bus leaves the terminal at stand number B25 on the lower level (Oslo Lufthavn nedre plan, Arrivals) and returns from the hotel to the upper level (Departures).
How do l drive from Oslo to the Clarion Oslo Airport hotel?
Take the E6 motorway from Oslo Northwards in the direction of Trondheim. Be careful that you really do follow the signs to Trondheim, so you don't end up driving on the E6 South instead!
Follow the E6 for about 50km North of Oslo until you come to a turn-off signposted to Gardermoen and the airport (route 174). Follow this road for about 5-6km and turn off the road to the right marked Nannestad. Follow this road for about 3km (straight across at the roundabout) and the hotel is situated by the road on the right-hand side. The hotel is also signposted as "Badeland" because of the swimming facilities there. Parking at the hotel is not free of charge: please contact the meeting organisers nearer the time for more details.
